Talk therapy (psychotherapy) focuses on examining a clients’ past to identify the experiences and triggers that are creating difficulties in their current lives. This form of psychotherapy is much longer in duration, possibly years of treatment, but is an effective protocol that allows the client insight as to what is truly causing the issues, emotions, and behaviours they are wanting to change, and with this clarity, comes change.
