What is EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique?

Tapping, or EFT, is a mind-body therapy originally founded by Gary Craig which is based on the traditional theories of acupuncture (TCM), but without the use of acupuncture needles. As a therapist, Meera utilizes EFT with clients by tapping onto specific acupoints in order to achieve a reduction of anxiety levels; relief from PTSD symptoms; resolve insomnia issues; reduce or resolve chronic pain levels; reduce or resolve migraines; reduce cravings for drugs, alcohol, or food addiction issues; release and desensitize negative emotions, memories, thoughts; and so much more!

Acupoints have been used for literally thousands of years to treat so many different types of illnesses and disorders however it wasn’t until the 1990’s when Gary Craig founded EFT which is also said to be inspired by the work of Roger Callahan, PhD.

Research has actually found that stimulating these specific energy meridians (acupoints) produces numerous different brain chemicals such as serotonin (a happy hormone that regulates mood, sleep, and memory function), gamma-aminobutyric acid (which offers a calming effect on the body), and endogenous opioids (which are pain-relieving chemicals).
